The music video opens with a long shot of the stage curtains opening to reveal the band on stage. Close ups are used to show each instrument and band member playing at each parts of the song to connote the band are playing it live on stage.  Long shots are used to show the whole band on stage to allow the audience to see who the band are performing as eg, The Beetles. long shots are also used to show the unique dance moves of each famous band or artist to add to the imitation. Mid-shots are used to show each band member playing their instruments and ECUs and close-ups on the bands singer to show him singing into the microphone. The music video includes a range of zooms and fast moving pans to connote the pace of the song and the energy and rock on stage.

Mise-en-scene:
Throughout the video the band perform as famous bands including: Elvis Presley, The Beetles and Nirvana. During each stage of the development of music the band are dressed as the band in the unique styles of that famous band. The set of the stage also changes as the song develops to each genre of music and each intimated band to allow the audience to understand who the band are performing as. During later stages of the music development more lighting and effects such as smoke are added to show the change of music production over time.

Sound:
The sound is the song (Dani California) played from the band and their instruments in a studio which has been edited over the top of the visuals to create a sense of them playing it live on stage. Punk-rock genre.

Editing:
The opening bands are in black and white to connote the time they where most famous and to show the age of music and how music has developed and changed over time. Colour is introduced when the band perform as Jimi Hendrix which connotes when colour was first introduced to television. At the ending of each famous band performance a fade is used to travel to the next famous band which connotes the development of music and the change music has had over time. Slow motion had been used in this music video to show the band member jumping in the air doing a unique move. this is used to extend the move and to emphasis it.
